Eight days ago I feel that my life began again. After having the worst year of my life, due to one horrific incident on July 17th of 2016, I was a different person. However, with a lot of hard work, I’m more than blessed to say that on July 18th, 2017, I woke up, knowing the year had passed, and that it was now okay for me to continue living again. Every person, no matter what they do for a living, has experiences that change them, and for me, that incident was one of them. Though from it, I’ve learned that I’m freaking tough as nails, I’m mentally strong, a fighter, and I don’t plan on giving up on anything I want. (If you’re a writer or author, I recommend that you read “Write Naked” by Jennifer Probst. I recently finished this book, and I couldn’t have felt better about restarting my life without this book. My review will be up on www.ChickLitGoddess.com on Wednesday, so stay tuned).
I want to write more, and that’s just what I’m doing. I’m writing, creating characters, creating ups and downs, hardships and highs, and, of course, a romantic love triangle between three people who I’ve grown fond of. Now, this particular post isn’t about my book, but rather to let you know that through struggles, you can take back your life, and when you decide it’s time, you’ll come back with more determination and love. The other day I was told that my new motto should be, “It’s okay to be okay.” Well, that sounds fine with me, and, no, it’s not that I needed anyone’s permission to live, but rather to know that I still have a life and dreams that I want to make come into a reality. Can I do it? “Yes, I can!”
Have you recently had a personal struggle where you need help, or are you going through something that you don’t think you can get yourself out of? If so, I’m here to tell you that you’re amazing, you’re strong, and you will survive!
Until next time, my friends, I hope you have a great week!
